Editorial Policy
How we keep our content accurate, independent, and trustworthy
MarklyInsurance is committed to publishing accurate, unbiased, and trustworthy insurance information. This Editorial Policy describes the standards and practices that guide everything we publish.
Our independence
MarklyInsurance is an independent educational publisher. We are not owned by, affiliated with, or compensated by any insurance company. We do not sell insurance, act as agents or brokers, or earn commissions on insurance products. Our content is created solely to serve our readers, free from commercial influence.
Author expertise
Our content is written and reviewed by Sarah Thompson, a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) with more than 14 years of experience in insurance planning and risk management, and an MBA in Risk Management. Every calculator and guide reflects her professional methodology and review.
Accuracy and sourcing
We base our content on current US insurance practices, regulatory standards, and industry data. We document the methodology behind each calculator so you can understand the assumptions used. We review content regularly and update it as products, regulations, and market conditions change. Where we reference external data, we use reputable sources.
Separation of advertising and editorial
Advertising, if displayed, is clearly distinguishable from editorial content and never influences our articles, calculators, or recommendations. Our editorial team operates independently of any advertising or commercial considerations. We do not allow advertisers to review or approve our content.
Objectivity
Our guides present options, trade-offs, and considerations rather than directing you to specific products. We aim to equip you to make your own informed decisions. When a general recommendation is appropriate, it is based on widely accepted insurance-planning principles, not on any commercial interest.
Transparency of calculator methodology
Each calculator's assumptions and formulas are documented within the tool or its accompanying guide. We use industry-average rates and clearly state that results are estimates, not quotes. We encourage you to use our tools alongside professional advice.
Corrections
If you believe any of our content contains an error, please contact us at support@insurance.automarkly.com. We investigate all reports promptly and publish corrections or clarifications where warranted, with a note indicating the change.
Content updates
Insurance evolves, and so does our content. We review and update articles and calculators on a regular schedule and in response to regulatory or market changes. Each article displays its last-updated date so you can gauge its currency.
